The Lost Report
An interesting conversation, and a silent monsignor. The end of the story of Cardinal Gagnon (continued from Letter #22)
By Dr. Robert Moynihan, reporting from Rome
Pope to Visit Turin to See the Shroud
The Vatican announced today that Pope Benedict will travel to northern Italy in May, 2010, to see the Shroud of Turin. The Archdiocese of Turin, where the Shroud has been held for about 600 years, said the Pope will visit the city on May 2.
The Shroud will be on public display from April 10-May 23, 2010 — the first opportunity to see the Shroud since it was cleaned in 2002. The Archdiocese of Turin operates a Web site — www.sindone.org — offering the possibility of making a reservation online to view the Shroud during the exposition period.
Special note to readers: What follows is the conclusion to an email about Cardinal Edouard Gagnon (1918-2007) that I sent in July, Newsflash #22. To read that earlier email, click on the image below, TheMoynihanReport.
Putting the Question
