Pope Francis issued a Motu Proprio on Saturday entitled,\u00a0\u201cMagnum principium\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which refers to the translation of liturgical texts.<\/p>\n
A\u00a0Motu Proprio<\/strong>\u00a0is a special document, or apostolic letter, issued by the Pope on his own initiative and signed by him.<\/p>\n
In the document Pope Francis writes that, taking into account the experience of the Second Vatican Council with regard to\u00a0liturgical translations<\/strong>, it seemed opportune that some principles handed on since that time, \u201cshould be more clearly reaffirmed and put into practice\u201d.<\/p>\n
