Watching Amy

    Watching this morning the astonishing grace, strength, integrity, and intelligence of Amy Coney Barrett (link) answering questions posed by US Senators on the third day of hearings before a vote later this month on whether to approve her appointment for life to the U.S. Supreme Court, the thought came to me: “If Amy is not confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice, imagine her as President…”

    Her extraordinary qualities of character and intellect suggest that Amy should be drafted by the nation for some higher office no matter how this judicial appointment turns out…
